The last days in Canada

Hi Guys,

Sorry I have not written in a while I have been very busy!

Anyway here is a brief account of what I have been doing since the last time I updated my other blog. I hung out for a while in Canada, and I spent my time in Montreal, and Toronto. After that I flew to London and then after spending a few days in London I flew to Amsterdam. This is an account of my last days in Canada. I will post pictures later.

The last few days in Canada were crazy. In Montreal I stayed in a backpackers and hung out with some really cool English people. We went out both nights I was there and had a great time. When I was there I saw a music festival and a crazy park where people played frisbee, hackey-sack and hit each other with sticks. I have some photos that I will post once I get to a computer that is good enough. I also climbed to the top of Mount Royal (which may be where the city got its name from. This was all great fun. Montreal is a cool city because it is a mixture of English, French and American cultures.

boys hitting each other with sticks, in this case there is a little size miss-match!

After Montreal I went back to Toronto to spend my last few days In Canada before I flew to the UK. On the bus to Toronto I met a really cool girl that offered me her couch to crash on for a few nights. As it turned out the three really cute girls lived in the house. Two of them worked in a bar around the corner. This was interesting because they came back from the pub (it was a Sunday night). During the night two random boys wandered inside looking for the special sort of treatment that only women can give (The where unable to lock their front door because of their crazy land lord). One came in, twice the first time he stood and stared at me sleeping on the couch. We told him to go away and go to bed. He snuck back inside and sat on the end of the bed of one of the girls while she was sleeping. The next time we ejected him we were not so nice!

I did not get much sleep that evening.

The next day I went to the zoo and saw all the animals that I was not able to see anywhere in Canada. This included beavers and otters which were really cool. There was also a polar bear that looked quite shell-shocked, as it was about 30 degrees with a really high humidity.

Poor polar bear

After the zoo i went and saw the New York Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays. The Yankees got smashed. Baseball is a silly game to watch live. Most of the people in the stadium where drunk (this was a Monday night) . Every moment of the game you were entertained. during the breaks which happened very frequently they played music, had silly games, lead stretching routines for the entire crowd, sung songs (take me out to the ball game...) and did numerous other things. It was certainly worth the money that I spent!

The next day I jumped on a bike and rode around the city once more and then hopped on a plane and flew to London.
